The Bossa Nova Baby is honoured to be filling in for Victoria Newton at the Perth International Jazz Festival on Saturday, 25 May, 3pm at Weld Square.

A blissful and relaxing afternoon full of truly authentic bossa nova leads the tone of Juliana Areias’ concert in the company of Tal Cohen (piano), Mark Shanahan (guitar), Paul Poolley (bass), Chris Tarr (drums).

Following a classic Brazilian jazz repertoire fans will be delighted to enjoy tunes from composers such as Antonio Carlos Jobim, Jorge Benjor (Sergio Mendes/ Brasil 66), Rosa Passos and others.

Our samba de gafieira afficionada, Juliana Areias will also do a very special appearance on Sunday, 26 May, sharing the stage with Marcio Mendes & Perth Samba Social Club at the Perth Cultural Centre. Among the heat of the lively drums and trumpets, Juliana Areias promises a surprise act. Don’t miss out!
