Australia Awards & APRA DAY – CELEBRATION OF AUSTRALIA CULTURAL & ARTISTIC DIVERSITY – Juliana Areias

This Week on Tuesday 30 May 2022, Juliana Areias Duo featuring Juliana Areias with 7 string guitarist-singer Joshua de Silva, performed at The Australia Awards 2022 Ceremony at the WA Maritime Museum, celebrating the award’s winners and nominees and sharing their music with the event’s distinguished guests including the Australia Awards scholars and alumni, members of the diplomatic corps, Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade representatives and their invited guests.

And today, Friday 3 June 2022, it’s APRA DAY in Australia, when all radio stations are encouraged to play at least 25% of home made music!

Being Australia one of the most contemporary multicultural countries of the planet – where at least half of its current population is of 1st or 2nd immigrant generations – contemporary Australian music is represented by many colours, many styles and many languages!
