Juliana Areias & Edu Ruaro – Tropical Travel Show Saturday 02 April 7.00pm – Book now
Celebrating the success of her first original album – Bossa Nova Baby – WAM Song of the Year double nomination and featured as the “Changing Face of Australian Music” on ABC Radio National on Australia Day – and after performing at the Sydney Opera House and a European Tour, Juliana Areias is excited to be back at the Ellington Jazz Club, inviting guitarist Edu Ruaro to present the Tropical Travels Show with her.
Juliana Areias and Edu Ruaro, both originally from Brazil, have been living and working all around the globe, exploring their passion for music, nature and beaches. When they perform together it’s always summer.
This concert celebrates Eduardo’s new stop in Perth after a year spent between Bali and Brazil. It is an unique opportunity to experience the spontaneity and joy of their performance together.
The show will present a watercolour of Brazilian rhythms and songs from some of the best Brazilian composers including Antonio Carlos Jobim, Djavan, Gilberto Gil and Caetano Veloso as well as few originals. They will share the fun and the stage with Paul Millard’s magic sax and flute sounds and Bronton Ainsworth’s playful drumming.
Come aboard and enjoy the Tropical Travels with us.
