October brings a wave of music with Juliana Areias – Bossa Nova Baby Band @ Perth International Jazz Festival – Sat 25 Oct – featuring Loro Bardot, Arthur Freitas, Joshua de Silva, Bronton Ainsworth, and Rafael Medeiros de Souza.
The concert presents the very best of Bossa and MPB – from Jobim, Gal, Elis, Djavan, Cazuza, Rita Lee, Lenine, Los Hermanos, Gonzaguinha, Milton Nascimento, Rosa Passos, Leny Andrade, Angela Rô Rô, João Donato, Guinga, Aldir Blanc, Hermeto Pascoal – plus some originals.
Our tribute to Hermeto Paschoal – Brazilian jazz master and multi-instrumentalist famous for his capacity to orchestrate and improve with all instruments and making music from literally any object he touched: teapots, kettle, children toys, from rubbish to airplanes… as described in joyful song. Thank you Hermeto!
