2 Mare cheia / Full tide

2 MARÉ CHEIA (Full Tide)
(Johannes Dimyadi/ Juliana Areias)

For Sandrinha Barbosa & Marcio Mendes

Cheia
maré cheia
a sereia
sai do mar
vem pra beira
deita o corpo sobre a areia
lua cheia bronzeia
sua pele turquesa
sua boca morena
seu cantar de princesa
deusa
Lento
pescador em silêncio
faz a Deus juramento
pés descalços no cimento
arpão, rede, arpejo
ao chamado do vento
no seu passo sedento
rumo ao mar, seu sustento
bento
Maré, maré, maré, maré, maré…
maré cheia
Odoiá
Full
full tide
the siren
leaves the sea
comes to the shore
lies her body on the sand
bronzed by the full moon
her turquoise skin
her dark lips
singing like a princess
a goddess
Slowly
the fisherman in silence
makes to God a prayer
barefoot, feet on cement
harpoon, net, arpeggio
called by the wind
with his avid step
toward the sea , his sustenance
blessed
Tide, tide, tide, tide, tide…
full tide
Odoiá
